Take notice that an application for a Flood Hazard Area Individual Permit, a Flood Hazard Area Verification under Method 5, and an authorization under a Freshwater Wetlands General Permit 2 has been submitted to the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, Division of Land Resource Protection for the development described below: APPLICANT: South Jersey Gas Company; 3800 Atlantic Avenue, Atlantic City, NJ 08401 PROJECT NAME: Glassboro 12" Lateral Replacement PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Replacement natural gas pipeline PROJECT STREET ADDRESS: N/A- rights-of-way (ROWs) of U.S. Route 322, Glassboro - Cross Keys Road / New Street (County Route 689), and Pitman Downer Road (County Road 658), and within a utility easement on the following parcels in Glassboro, NJ: BLOCK and LOT Block 413, Lots 5.01, 5, 4, 4.01, 3, 2.02, 12.02 Block 413.01, Lot 54 Block 414, Lot 4.03 Block 427, Lots 32.01, 6, 11, 10.07, 31, 31.01, 16 MUNICIPALITIES: Township of Monroe, Township of Washington, and Borough of Glassboro COUNTY: Gloucester County SJG is proposing the installation of approximately 2.3 miles of replacement 12" diameter natural gas pipeline within the ROWs of U.S. Route 322, Glassboro - Cross Keys Road / New Street (County Route 689), and Pitman Downer Road (County Road 658) in the Township of Monroe, Township of Washington, and the Borough of Glassboro in Gloucester County, and within existing utility easements on the previously referenced parcels in Glassboro, NJ. The pipeline installation includes four stream crossings. Two crossings will be accomplished via open trenching, one will be installed via the HDD installation method, and one will be installed via the jack and bore installation method under an existing culvert. The complete permit application package can be reviewed at either the municipal clerk's office in the municipality in which the site subject to the application is located, or by appointment at the Department's Trenton Office. The Department of Environmental Protection welcomes comments and any information that you may provide concerning the proposed development and site.
