MEETING NOTICE Please be advised that a special meeting of the Town of Harrison Planning Board is scheduled for Thursday, March 12, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. in person at the Harrison Town Hall, 3rd Floor Council Chambers, 318 Harrison Avenue, Harrison, NJ. Caucus will be at 5:45 p.m. on the 3rd floor Caucus Room. This meeting will detail the substantive revisions which comprise the February 2026 Amendment to the Fourth Round Housing Element and Fair Share Plan (HEFSP) for the Town of Harrison, dated May 29, 2025 and adopted by the Planning Board on June 9, 2025. - Amended the subsection entitled "Fourth Round Present Need/Rehabilitation Obligation" to insert the following mechanisms (page 44): - Sixth Paragraph: "Holy Cross School- Located at 15 Frank E. Rodgers Boulevard is Harrison's Holy Cross School. While the building has historically functioned as a private catholic school, in 2009, it moved its operations to St. Stephens School in Kearny. Discussions around redeveloping the site have taken place for several years, including a proposal to convert the building into 62 affordable age-restricted apartments. The exact unit count and design of the site, however, remains to be finalized." A copy of the Housing Element and Fair Share Plan is on file and available for public inspection at the Planning Board Secretary's Office located at 318 Harrison Avenue, Clerk's Office, Harrison, NJ between the hours of 9 am and 4:30 p.m. It will also be available on the Town's website at: townofharrison.com.
