NOTICE OF APPLICATION IN THE MATTER OF: PSE&G PALISADES 26KV LOAD GROWTH Application No. 1403D to temporarily divert water from trenches, vaults & pit sumps in Jersey City & Secaucus, Hudson County. NOTICE OF APPLICATION, DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION, DIVISION OF WATER SUPPLY & GEOSCIENCE, TRENTON, NEW JERSEY. Pursuant to the provisions of the Water Supply Management Act, N.J.S.A. 58:1A et seq., PUBLIC SERVICE ELECTRIC & GAS (PSE&G) COMPANY, 4000 Hadley Rd, South Plainfield, NJ, 07080, filed an application on October 8, 2025 for approval of plans to divert a maximum of 3.7 million gallons of water during any month at a maximum rate of 200 gallons per minute from trenches, vaults & pit sumps 7 to 18 feet deep from the surficial aquifer. This request represents a temporary dewatering allocation associated with the PSE&G PALISADES 26KV LOAD GROWTH project. The trenches, vaults & pits are located between Jersey City and Secaucus extending from Marion Switch Station to the intersection of Metro Way & County Ave. The diversion is to be used for Dewatering-Construction. Any person or interested party may request that a public hearing be scheduled regarding this application. Comments, including the request for the public hearing, must be submitted in writing.
