PUBLIC NOTICE New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection Division of Water Quality Bureau of Surface Water and Pretreatment Permitting Notice is hereby given that the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (Department/NJDEP) proposes to issue a New Jersey Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NJPDES) Significant Indirect User (SIU) Renewal Permit Action (NJPDES Permit No. NJ0139700) in accordance with N.J.A.C. 7:14A, and by authority of the Water Pollution Control Act at N.J.S.A. 58:10A-1 et seq., for the discharge into the Logan Township Municipal Utilities Authority's wastewater treatment plant from: Applicant or Permittee: Facility: Taylor Farms NJ Inc. TFNJ406 Wastewater 406 Heron Drive 406 Heron Drive Swedesboro, NJ 08085 Swedesboro, NJ 08085 The Permittee's operation includes processing/preparation of fruits, vegetables and processed dishes. Process wastewater from the facility's operation will be pretreated prior to discharge through discharge location point designated as DSN-001L to the Logan Township Municipal Utilities Authority's (LTMUA) Wastewater Treatment Plant. The pretreatment system consists of equalization, screening, pH neutralization, dissolved air flotation and flocculation. Based upon the sewer agreement with LTMUA, the permittee is allowed to discharge up to a maximum of 142,500 gallons per day (GPD) of process wastewater. The facility's SIC codes are 5149 (Groceries and Related Products, Not Elsewhere Classified) and 5148 (Fresh Fruits and Vegetables). A draft NJPDES Significant Indirect User (SIU) Renewal Permit Action has been prepared for this facility based on the administrative record filed at the NJDEP, 401 East State Street, Trenton, New Jersey 08625. Copies of the draft document are obtainable, for a nominal charge, and the administrative record is available for inspection by appointment only, Monday through Friday.
