Legal Notice # 21932090 NOTICE TO BIDDERS PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that, pursuant to a resolution of the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Coram Fire District, sealed bids for the construction of two masonry walls to serve as welcome signs at the main entrance headquarters of the Coram Fire District will be received at the office of the Board of Fire Commissioners at the Coram Firehouse, located at 303 Middle Country Road, Coram, New York, 11727 until 6:00 PM (prevailing time) on the 21st day of April 2026, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids shall be submitted in sealed envelopes at the above address and shall bear on the face thereof the name and address of the bidder. All bids must be submitted on forms furnished by the Coram Fire District, in accordance with the specifications and instructions to Bidders. Requests for detailed plans should be submitted via email to District Manager Vandorn Johnson IV at vanjohnson@coramfire.com. Include in subject line: ENTRANCE SIGNS BID. A Bid Bond or certified check in the amount of at least five (5%) percent of the base bid must accompany each bid. A full performance bond together with payment bond shall be required of the successful bidder. All prospective bidders are advised that, prior to submitting a bid on this project, they must register with the NYS Department of Labor in compliance with NYS Labor Law 220-i. A Certificate of Registration must accompany each bid. The contract for the above item will be awarded by the Board of Fire Commissioners to the lowest responsible bidder. In cases where two or more responsible bidders submit identical bids as to price, the Board of Fire Commissioners may award the contract to either of such bidders. The Board of Fire Commissioners reserves the right to reject all bids and/or re-advertise for new bids in its discretion and/or to waive any informality in any bid which it deems immaterial in nature. The Fire District will not accept Bids from, nor award a Contract to, anyone who cannot satisfactorily prove to that they have sufficient experience in this type of construction and financially able and organized to successfully carry out the work covered by the Plans and Specifications in the required completion time. Special qualification requirements are contained in the Contract Documents. No bids may be withdrawn by any bidder for a period of forty-five (45) days from the date of bid opening.
