I hereby direct that all my legal debts, funeral and testament expenses be paid by my executor hereinafter named as soon as conveniently may be after my decease. SECOND. All of the rest, residue and remainder of my estate, both real and personal, of whatsoever kind and nature and wheresoever the same may be situate I give and bequeath as follows: 50% to Washington and Jefferson College, Washington, Pennsylvania for the Swanson Science Center; 25% to Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, Highland Avenue, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; and 25% to the First Presbyterian Church of Batavia, New York. THIRD. In the event that my Executor hereinafter named predeceases me, or for any reason, shall fail to qualify or cease to act as such Executor, then I nominate and appoint BEVERLY KERN, as the Successor Executor of this my Will, without bond, giving her as such Executor all powers and authority given to my Executor hereinafter named. JSL FOURTH. I hereby appoint DAVID L. METZLER to serve without bond and to exercise all powers and duties authorized to fiduciaries under the laws of the State of New York as Executor of this my will.
