Town of Chester Zoning Board of Appeals Notice of Public Hearing on Application for an Area Variance for Property Located at 29 Cedar Pond Ln. Wheras Legal Notice is Hereby Given that the Town of Chester Zoning Board of Appeals will conduct a public hearing on the application for relief from Town of Chester Zoning Law § 98-11B, which requires accesory buildings tpo be located no nearer to the front street line than the pricipal building. The property is located at 29 Cedar Pond Ln. in the Agricultural-Residential 3 ("AR-3") zoning district and is identified on the tax map as Section 16, Block 1, Lot 77. The applicant is requesting an area variance to permit a 24 by 30 foot horse barn closer to the front street line than the priciple building, 30 feet from the property line. A copy of the application is available for inspection at the Town of Chester building department located at 1786 Kings Highway, Chester, New York 10918. Now, Therefore, the Board of Appeals declares that it will hold a public hearing on the aforesaid application at the Town of Chester Town Hall, 1786 Kings Highway, Chester, New York 10918, on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at 7:00 P.M., at which time all persons interested therein shall be heard. The Board will also accept written comments prior to the date of the public hearing. The Town of Chester will make every effort to ensure the hearing is accessible to persons with disabilities.
