Legal Notice # 21929087 NOTICE OF SALE OF SURPLUS EQUIPMENT PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that, pursuant to a resolution of the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Deer Park Fire District, sealed bids for the sale of one Pierce Enforcer 75 foot Quint will be received at the office of the Board of Fire Commissioners, 94 Lake Avenue, Deer Park, New York 11725 until 2:00 p.m. (prevailing time) on the 20th day of March, 2026 at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes clearly marked "BID ON QUINT." Bids must be legible and contain the name, address, and phone number of the Bidder as well as the bid amount. The District has established a minimum acceptable bid of $590,000.00 for the apparatus. The apparatus shall be available for inspection by appointment at the Deer Park Firehouse. Interested parties may contact the Fire District Manager at: jsheehan@deerparkfd.org for further information. The apparatus, with no additional equipment, will be sold in "as is" condition and no warranty shall attach to the sale. The apparatus will be sold by the Board of Fire Commissioners to the highest bidder. In cases where two or more bidders submit identical bids as to price, the Board of Fire Commissioners may award the bid to either of such bidders. The Board of Fire Commissioners reserves the right to reject all bids and/or to re-advertise for new bids in its discretion. Purchaser must deliver full payment by bank or certified check or money order and take delivery of the vehicle within forty-five (45) days of notification of bid acceptance by the Deer Park Fire District. Failure to do so will void the bid and the item may be offered to the next highest bidder or re-bid at the District's discretion.
