 Legal Notice # 21929169 PUBLIC NOTICE OF ANNUAL MEETING BOARD OF COOPERATIVE EDUCATIONAL SERVICES OF NASSAU COUNTY Please take notice that the BOARD OF COOPERATIVE EDUCATIONAL SERVICES OF THE SOLE SUPERVISORY DISTRICT OF NASSAU COUNTY will hold the annual meeting of the trustees and members of the boards of education of its component school districts on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at 6:30 p.m. Comments from the public may be submitted to the District Clerk prior to 4 p.m. on April 14, 2026 at districtclerk@nasboces.org. The Board of Cooperative Educational Services will present its tentative administrative, capital and program budgets for 2026-27 to the trustees and members of the boards of education of component school districts in attendance at such annual meeting for their review. The following are summaries of the tentative administrative, capital and program budgets. The amounts stated are based on current estimates and may be subject to change. Copies of the complete tentative administrative, capital and program budgets will be available for inspection by the public between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. at the George Farber Administrative Center, 71 Clinton Road, Garden City, New York 11530, commencing on April 14, 2026. Teachers' Retirement System $ 12,768 Total Annualized Benefits $ 32,657 Total Salary & Other Compensation* $ 197,408 *In addition, the District Superintendent is paid by the State of New York a stipend of $43,499 for the performance of additional state-related duties assigned by the New York State Commissioner of Education and the State Education Department. The State also pays all F.I.C.A. and Medicare, and a portion of the payment to the N.Y.S. Teachers' Retirement System. The stipend and these other payments are not a charge to Nassau County school districts and not a part of BOCES' budget.
