NOTICE OF ANNUAL DISTRICT MEETING GREENBURGH CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NEW YORK MAY 19, 2026 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing of the qualified voters of the Greenburgh Central School District, County of Westchester, Hartsdale, New York, will be held in the Frelow Center of Woodlands Middle High School located at 475 West Hartsdale Avenue, Hartsdale, New York in said District on May 5, 2026 at 6:30 p.m. prevailing time, for the presentation of the budget document. FURTHER NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Annual District Meeting, Budget Vote and Election will be held on May 19, 2026 between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m., prevailing time, in the Gymnasium of Woodlands Middle/High School located at 475 West Hartsdale Avenue, Hartsdale, New York, at which time the polls will be opened to vote by voting machine on the following items: 1. To adopt the annual budget of the School District for the fiscal year 2026-2027 and to authorize the requisite portion thereof to be raised by taxation on the taxable property of the District; and 2. Any other questions or propositions as to matters or expenditures or authority to levy taxes that may be presented for a vote under the Education Law. FURTHER NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at the said vote and election to be conducted on May 19, 2026, two members are to be elected to the Board of Education as follows: Two (2) members of the Board of Education to serve three (3) year terms each commencing July 1, 2026 and expiring on June 30, 2029. All other persons who wish to vote must register. Registration of qualified voters is available at the County Board of Elections by mail or by filing an online application with the Department of Motor Vehicles at https://dmv.ny.gov/more info/electronic-voter-registration-application. Registration for this Annual District Meeting shall conclude on May 14, 2026. Registration of qualified voters shall take place at the Office of the District Clerk, 475 West Hartsdale Avenue, Hartsdale, New York during school business hours. Registration for this Annual District Meeting shall conclude at the close of school business hours on May 14, 2026. The register so prepared will be filed in the Office of the District Clerk at 475 West Hartsdale Avenue, Hartsdale, New York, and will be open for inspection by any qualified voter of the District on and after May 14, 2026 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. (prevailing time) on weekdays and between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. (prevailing time) on Saturday, May 16, 2026, and at the polling place on the day of the vote. Only qualified voters who are duly registered will be permitted to vote. The Board of Registration will meet during the election held in the District on May 19, 2026 at the place where the Annual Meeting and Election is held for the purpose of preparing a register for meetings and elections held subsequent to such Annual Meeting or Election. FURTHER NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a copy of the statement of the amount of money which will be required to fund the School District’s budget for 2026-2027, exclusive of public monies, may be obtained by any resident of the District upon request during school hours beginning April 22, 2026 except Saturday, Sunday or holidays, at the Business Office (located at Woodlands Middle High School, 475 West Hartsdale Avenue, Hartsdale, New York), at the Greenburgh Public Library (located at 300 Tarrytown Road, Elmsford, New York), on the District’s website (greenburghcsd.org), and at each of the following school buildings: Lee F. Jackson Elementary School Highview Elementary School Richard J. Bailey Elementary School An Exemption Report showing how much of the total assessed value on the final assessment roll(s) used in the budgetary process is exempt from taxation will be annexed to the proposed budget. FURTHER NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to Real Property Tax Law Section 495, an exemption report detailing exemptions from real property taxation shall be available and appended to any tentative, preliminary or final budget. FURTHER NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that any applications for absentee ballots and early mail ballots will be obtainable during school business hours from the District Clerk beginning April 2, 2026. Completed applications must be received by the District Clerk no earlier than April 20, 2026, and at least seven (7) days before the election if the ballot is to be mailed to the voter, or the day before the election, if the ballot is to be delivered personally to the voter or the voter’s designated agent. Absentee ballots or early mail ballots must be received by the District Clerk no later than 5:00 p.m., prevailing time, on May 19, 2026. Applications can also be downloaded from the district’s website at: https://www.greenburghcsd.org/apps/pages/index.jsp?uREC_ID=4405002&type=d&pREC_ID=2631453 The right to vote by absentee ballot or early mail ballot will be subject to the approval of the District Clerk or designee, as applicable. A list of persons to whom absentee ballots and early mail ballots are issued will be available for inspection to qualified voters of the District in the office of the District Clerk commencing with the issuance of the first absentee ballot or early mail ballot and on and after May 14, 2026 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., prevailing time, on weekdays and between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 16, 2026, and at the polling place on the day of the vote. FURTHER NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that military voters who are not currently registered may apply to register as a qualified voter of the Greenburgh Central School District. A military voter registration application may be requested from the Board of Education at 475 West Hartsdale Avenue, Hartsdale, New York, and must be returned to the Office of the District Clerk at 475 West Hartsdale Avenue, Hartsdale, New York, or by email at districtclerk@greenburghcsd.org or fax at 914-761-2354 not later than 5:00 p.m. on April 23, 2026. A military voter may indicate their preference for receiving the registration application by mail, facsimile transmission, or email. FURTHER NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that military voters who are qualified voters of the school district may apply for a military ballot. A military ballot application may be requested from the Office of the District Clerk at 475 West Hartsdale Avenue, Hartsdale, New York, and must be returned, in person or by mail, to the Office of the District Clerk, at 475 West Hartsdale Avenue, Hartsdale, New York, not later than 5:00 p.m. on April 23, 2026. A military voter may indicate their preference for receiving the military ballot application by mail, facsimile transmission, or email.
