ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS THE BOARD OF EDUCATION OF THE NEW YORK MILLS UNION FREE SCHOOL DISTRICT invites bids in connection with its Capital Project Phase 3 for the New York Mills Union Free School District with its offices located at 1 Marauder Boulevard, New York Mills, New York 13417 in accordance with bidding documents prepared by Teitsch-Kent-Fay Architects, P.C., 132 Albany Street, Suite M-1, Cazenovia, New York 13035. Separate bids are requested for prime contracts: Contract # 100 General Construction (including Hazardous Materials) Contract # 101 HVAC Contract # 102 Electrical Contract # 103 Plumbing Separate sealed bids (in duplicate) will be received by the District Clerk, at the District Office, located on the first floor, 1 Marauder Boulevard, New York Mills, New York 13417 until 3:00 p.m. local time on April 30, 2026. The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud in the District Office. A Pre-Bid conference and walk-thru is scheduled for April 9, 2026 at 10:00am in the HS Cafeteria. Drawings and specifications will be available April 1, 2026 for searching and viewing at www.planandprint.com. Click on the PlanWell logo, then click Go under Public Plan Room. The Instructions to Bidders, Form of Proposal, General Conditions and Supplements, Drawings, and Specifications may be obtained upon a deposit of $50.00 per set from Plan & Print Systems Inc. 6160 Eastern Ave. Syracuse, NY 13211– (800) 924-5145, fax (315)463-1510. A deposit shall be in the sum of Fifty Dollars ($50.00) check or money order per set requested made payable to “New York Mills Union Free School District”. Any Bidder upon returning such set in good condition within 14-days after the date set for Bid opening will be refunded the deposit. Sets to be returned to New York Mills Union Free School District, Maintenance Shop, 1 Marauder Boulevard, New York Mills, New York 13417. The deposit will not be refunded to any non-bidders or bidders returning the bidding documents after the 14-day return period. Bidding documents may be picked up at Plan and Print Systems, M-F – 8:30A.M. -5:00 P.M. or be delivered via UPS or FedEx upon request to Plan and Print Systems. Receipt of an additional non refundable freight charge of $35.00 payable to Plan and Print Systems by separate check or money order. Bidder has the option to provide Plan and Print Systems with Bidders UPS or FedEx shipping account number to expedite the delivery of the documents. Prospective subcontractors and material suppliers may obtain Bidding Documents they require by payment of printing and mailing costs. Attention of the Bidder is particularly called to the Owner's sales tax exemption, the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and the minimum wage rates to be paid under the contract. In addition, the Bidding Documents for this project contain detailed requirements for the qualification of Bidders. These include, among other things, rigid bonding and insurance requirements, financial statements, bank references, lists of lawsuits, arbitrations or other proceedings in which the Bidder has been named as a party, a statement of surety's intent to issue Performance and Payment Bonds, and a description of other projects of similar size and scope completed by the Bidder. Bids shall be prepared as set forth in “Instructions to Bidders”, enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing on its face the name and address of the Bidder and the title of the Work to which the bid enclosed relates. Each Bidder shall deposit with its bid, security in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the base bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the “Instructions to Bidders.” No Bidder may withdraw his bid within forty-five (45) days after the actual bid opening. The Board of Education reserves the right to waive any and all informalities in or to reject any or all bids.
