Legal Notice # 21928055 NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING BOARD OF EDUCATION OF THE COMSEWOGUE SCHOOL DISTRICT PROPOSED RESOLUTION REGARDING PROPERTY TAX EXEMPTION PURSUANT TO REAL PROPERTY TAX LAW 471 (SURVIVING SPOUSES OF POLICE OFFICERS KILLED IN THE LINE OF DUTY) March 2, 2026 8:00p.m. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that pursuant to New York Real Property Tax Law ("RPTL") 471, the Board of Education of the Brookhaven-Comsewogue Union Free School District will hold a public hearing on March 2, 2026 at 8:00 p.m. in the Board Room at the Frank D'Addairo Administration Building (District Office), 290 Norwood Avenue, Port Jefferson Station to consider a proposed resolution adopting a real property tax exemption available to surviving spouses of police officers killed in the line of duty pursuant to RPTL 471. At such time and place all persons interested in the subject matter thereof will be given an opportunity to be heard concerning the same.
