Legal Notices TOWN OF PORTLAND PUBLIC NOTICE NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Highway Superintendent of the Town of Portland pursuant to Section 1660 of the VEHICLE AND TRAFFIC LAW, has ordered, excluding from any portion of the Town of Portland highways, any vehicle with a gross weight of over six (6) or more tons. In the event of hardship to any vehicle performing local service, a permit may be obtained from the Town of Portland Highway Superintendent at the Town of Portland Highway Barns.
