Legal Notice # 21928719 ROSLYN WATER DISTRICT NOTICE TO BIDDERS CONTRACT FOR FURNISHING AND DELIVERING CALCIUM HYPOCHLORITE FOR POTABLE WATER TREATMENT NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed proposals are sought and requested for furnishing all materials and performing all work necessary for the performance, according to specifications, of a contract to be let by the BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE ROSLYN WATER DISTRICT for FURNISHING AND DELIVERING CALCIUM HYPOCHLORITE FOR POTABLE WATER TREATMENT. Sealed proposals for the purchase of "Calcium Hypochlorite" will be received by the Board of Commissioners of the Roslyn Water District at the District Office, 24 West Shore Road, Roslyn, New York until 9:15 A.M. on April 2, 2026, at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read. Specifications and bid proposal forms may be obtained at the District office, on or after March 5, 2026, between the hours of 6:30 A.M. and 3:00 P.M. Monday through Friday. The right is reserved to reject any and all bids, waive any informalities, and to accept such bids which, in the opinion of the Board, is in the best interest of the Roslyn Water District. Proposals must be made upon and in accordance with the form of proposal prepared and obtainable from the District, which formal proposal will contain accompanying instructions to bidders and a copy of the specifications for said work. Proposals shall be made and received upon the following conditions: Each proposal must be accompanied by the deposit of a bid bond with sufficient securities to be approved by the Board of Commissioners in the sum of five (5%) percent of the total bid amount, insuring that if the proposal is accepted, the successful bidder will enter into a contract for the work and will execute, within ten (10) days from the date of the acceptance of the proposal, a suitable performance bond in the sum of the amount of the contract, insuring the faithful and prompt performance and completion of the work specified in the contract and the specifications. All deposits, except that of the successful bidder, will be returned. Upon acceptance of the bid, if the successful bidder fails to enter into a contract pursuant to the requirement of the Board or fails to give the further security prescribed in this notice within the time period limited therefore, the payment of the bond shall be enforced for the benefit of the said Board of Commissioners of the Roslyn Water District.
