Request for Letters of Intent from accredited colleges for practicum programs.

PUBLIC NOTICE Westchester County Department of Social Services Leonard G. Townes, Commissioner RE: Request for Letters of Intent to Contract TO: Accredited colleges or universities offering higher education practicum learning programs PLEASE TAKE NOTICE: The County of Westchester (the “County”), acting by and through the Westchester County Department of Social Services (“Department of Social Services”), hereby requests letters of intent (“Letters of Intent”) from accredited colleges and universities who wish to enter into a practicum education affiliation agreement with the County to place matriculated students within the Department of Social Services in order to complete credit-bearing practicum (field placement) learning programs. Interested institutions can obtain a Letter of Intent from the County’s website for RFPs: http://rfp.westchestergov.com/rfp/rfps. On the top right of the page, click “Search Contract Opportunities, enter “Academic Internship Practicum” in the keyword field, and click “Search.” Interested Institutions should submit the Letter of Intent and supporting documents via email to: DSS-Consortium@westchestercountyny.gov, no later than 4 P.M. EST on April 16, 2026. The official in the organization authorized to enter into an agreement with the Department of Social Services must sign the Letter of Intent. A copy of proof of accreditation, a concise profile of the institution and its higher education programs, and written documentation describing internship and practicum education requirements (i.e. a manual) are all considered supporting documents and MUST be included with submission of the Letter of Intent. Please take notice that submission of a Letter of Intent shall not entitle the submitting accredited university and/or college to enter into an agreement with the County, nor shall the County be legally bound in any manner whatsoever by receipt of same from the accredited university and/or college. 12184266
