New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Notice of Complete Application Date: 03/10/2026 Applicant: VILLAGE OF WOODBURY PO Box 546 CENTRAL VALLEY, NY 10917 Facility: CROMWELL LAKE Lake St, Bakertown Rd, Co Rte 105 & Ridge Rd Woodbury, NY 10930 Application ID: 3-3358-00155/00002 Permits(s) Applied for: 1 - Article 24 Freshwater Wetlands Project is located: in WOODBURY in ORANGE COUNTY Project Description: This applicant proposes to treat approximately 52.29 acres of waterbody index number: H-89-7-7-2-P231 - Cromwell Lake, class A, with aquatic pesticides to control harmful algae blooms and invasive species, water chestnut, curly-leaf pondweed, and variable leaf milfoil. The treatment is within NYS-protected Freshwater Wetlands and its regulated 100-foot adjacent area. Availability of Application Documents: Filed application documents, and Department draft permits where applicable, are available for inspection during normal business hours at the address of the contact person. To ensure timely service at the time of inspection, it is recommended that an appointment be made with the contact person. State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) Determination A final environmental impact statement has been prepared on this project and is on file. SEQR Lead Agency NYS Department of Environmental Conservation State Historic Preservation Act (SHPA) Determination The proposed activity is not subject to review in accordance with SHPA. The application type is exempt and/or the project involves the continuation of an existing operational activity.
