LEGAL NOTICE EMERGENCY ORDER No. 18 of 2026 of Saratoga County LOCAL STATE OF EMERGENCY ORDER I, Philip C. Barrett, the Chief Executive of Sarato- ga County, in accordance with a declaration of a State of Emergency issued on March 5, 2026, and pursuant to Section 24 of the New York State Ex- ecutive Law, do hereby order: On May 19, 2023, the Saratoga County Chief Ex- ecutive declared a local state of emergency for the County of Saratoga because the public safety and public health is imperiled due to the imme- diate danger of an extraordinary increase in the number of asylum seekers entering the County of Saratoga. The State of Emergency was renewed per statute on June 19, 2023, July 18, 2023, August 18, 2023, September 16, 2023, October 16, 2023, November 16, 2023, December 16, 2023, January 15, 2024, February 14, 2024, March 15, 2024, April 14, 2024, May 14, 2024, June 13, 2024, July 13, 2024, August 12, 2024, September 11, 2024, Oc- tober 11, 2024, November 10, 2024, December 10, 2024, January 9, 2025, February 8, 2025, March 10, 2025, April 9, 2025, May 9, 2025, June 8, 2025, July 8, 2025, August 7, 2025, September 6, 2025, Octo- ber 6, 2025, November 5, 2025, December 5, 2025, January 4, 2026 and February 3, 2026. It has been deemed necessary to extend the state of emer- gency another thirty days effective March 5, 2026. Section 5. Effective Date and Expiration: This Local Emergency Order shall take effect im- mediately and shall remain in effect for a period of five (5) days unless sooner modified, extended, or revoked. This Local Emergency Order may be renewed for additional periods of five (5) days each during the pendency of the local state of emergency. This Local Emergency Order shall be executed in quadruplicate and filed within seventy-two hours or as soon thereafter as practicable in the office of the Clerk of Boards of Legislators, the office the County Clerk, the New York Secretary of State, and the New York State Office of Emergency Man- agement withing the Division of Homeland Secu- rity and Emergency Services. The Local Emergency Order is being extended for an additional 5 days: 3/30/2026 through 4/3/2026 GIVEN, under my hand and the Seal of the County of Saratoga this March 29, in the year Two Thou- sand Twenty-Six.
