LEGAL NOTICE RENSSELAER LEGISLATURE COUNTY NOTICE OF A 30-DAY PERIOD FOR PUBLIC RE- VIEW OF AN AGRICUL- TURAL DISTRICT PUR- SUANT TO THE EIGHTH YEAR REVIEW OF AN AGRICULTURAL DIS- TRICT PLEASE TAKE NO- TICE, that Agricultural District #5 (Towns of Pittstown and Schaghti- coke) within the County of Rensselaer was es- tablished on June 8, 1975, pursuant to Arti- cle 25-AA of the Agricul- ture and Markets Law. PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE, that pursuant to Section 303(8) of the Agriculture and Mar- kets Law, the Rensse- laer County Legislature is required to review a district eight years after its creation and every eight years thereafter. PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE, that during this thirty (30) day period, any municipality whose territory encompasses the above Agricultur- al District, any State Agency or any landown- er within or adjacent to the District, may pro- pose a modification of the District. PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE, that a public informational meet- ing is scheduled for Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at Schaghticoke Town Hall, 290 Northline Drive, Schaghticoke, New York 12121, at 7:00 p.m. PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE, that at the ter- mination of the thirty (30) day period, the District and proposed modification will be submitted to the Rens- selaer County Office of Budget, Planning and Research and the Rensselaer County Ag- ricultural and Farmland Protection Board Board and that thereafter a public hearing will be held on the Dis- trict, proposed modifi- cations, and recommen- dations of said board or committee.
