Notice To Bidders
The Town of Colonie ("Town") invites bids for the following:
RFB: Wood-Stave Caustic Tank Rehab and Relining at MVWTP II JB352
Sealed bids will be received at the Office of Purchasing, Memorial Town Hall, Latham, NY 12110 until March 25, 2026 10:00 AM local time. At that time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.
All bidders shall comply with the N.Y. Gen. Mun. Law §103.
Beginning on February 25, 2026, the solicitation documents for this matter will be on file and publicly exhibited at the Office of Purchasing, 534 New Loudon Road, Memorial Town Hall, Latham, NY 12110. Copies of said documents may be obtained at that address. Complete bid documents may also be available for download from the Empire State Purchasing Group's web site at http://www.bidnetdirect.com/new-york.
Bids shall be submitted at the time and place indicated in the Notice to Bidders and shall be enclosed in an opaque, sealed envelope. The opaque envelope shall be marked on the outside with the project title and name and address of the bidder. The submission shall consist of the completed pages of this document marked "TO BE SUBMITTED," and any other required documents. The submission shall also include, if required in the Notice to Bidders, the bid security. If the bid is sent through the mail or other delivery system, the sealed envelope containing the bid shall be enclosed in a separate envelope with the notation "BID ENCLOSED" on the face thereof AND the outer envelope shall be marked on the outside with the project title and name and address of the bidder.
Each submitted bid must be accompanied by (a) a certified check in the sum of 10% of the amount of the bid, drawn upon a national or state bank or trust company, to the order of the Town of Colonie, New York, or (b) a bond with sufficient sureties in a penal sum equal to 10% of the bid, conditioned that if its bid is accepted, successful bidder will enter a contract for the same and that he will execute such further security as may be required for the performance of the contract.
At the execution of the anticipated contract, the Successful Bidder will be required to furnish performance and labor and materials bond, and a payment bond equal to the full amount of the
bid.
The bidder to whom the contract may be awarded shall within seven days after the date of notification of the acceptance of its bid, provide insurance and security as required by the contract in a form acceptable by the Town of Colonie. In case of its failure to do so, or in case of its failure to give further security as herein prescribed, the bidder will be considered as having abandoned the same, and the certified check or other bid security accompanying its proposal shall be forfeited to the Town of Colonie.
The Town of Colonie reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any or all bids submitted.
