Legal Notices NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING NEW YORK STATE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION PROJECT IDENTIFICATION NUMBER 5064.37 Highway Project NY Route 394 (Fairmount Avenue) Ashville Road to Elmcrest Avenue Village of Lakewood and Town of Busti, Chautauqua County In accordance with the provisions of Article 2 of the Eminent Domain Procedure Law (EDPL), a Design Public Hearing will be held. T he New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) is proposing to improve highway facilities within the project limits. This will include mill and overlay of existing asphalt pavement from Winch Road to Elmcrest Avenue, constructing new sidewalks on one side of the roadway from Ashville Road to Shadyside Avenue, and widening the roadway between Shadyside Avenue and Elmcrest Avenue. In addition, the project proposes to replace signage. The NYSDOT is soliciting community input to facilitate the project development. The public hearing will be held: Thursday, March 5, 2026, between 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. at the Busti Town Hall 125 Chautauqua Ave, Lakewood, NY 14750 The hearing will consist of an open forum information session from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. with a formal hearing beginning at 5:30 p.m. NYSDOT representatives will be available to provide information about the project, gather community input, and listen to suggestions.
