COLUMBIA COUNTY ADVERTISEMENT FOR BID PUBLIC NOTICE TOWN OF CANAAN ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Town of Canaan will receive bids for Heavy Equipment, Materials, Hauling and Services. All bidders must supply: Certificate of Insurance and a Non-Collusion Bidding Certificate. Bids shall be submitted in a sealed envelope and shall bear on the face thereof the name and address of the bidder and item being bid upon. All bids will be received at the office of the Town Clerk, 1647 County Route 5, Canaan, NY 12029, during normal business hours, until 9:30 a.m., EST, March 19th, 2026. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 10:00 a.m., EST, on March 19th, 2026 at the Town Hall. Specifications of minimum requirements may be obtained by contacting the Town Clerk office or the Town Highway Garage during normal business hours. The Town Board will award the contract for said project to the lowest responsible bidder. In case there are two or more responsible bidders, who submit identical bids, as to the price, the Town Board may award the contract to either, or both bidders.
