PUBLIC NOTICE LEGAL NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Saranac Lake Central School District NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Board of Education of the Saranac Lake Central School District, Saranac Lake, Franklin County, New York, will hold a Public Hearing for the purpose of soliciting comments from the community in connection with the proposed closing of Bloomingdale Elementary School and Saranac Lake Middle School in the Saranac Lake Central School District. At the same Public Hearing, the Board is soliciting comments regarding the renaming of Saranac Lake High School to Saranac Lake Junior/Senior High School. NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN, that such Public Hearing shall be held in the High School Auditorium (Door 5) in Saranac Lake, Franklin County, New York on Wednesday February 18, 2026 at 6:30 pm, prevailing time. AND NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN, that any individual wishing to have their comments submitted as part of the public hearing record must submit such comments in writing to the Board at the time of the public hearing. No comments, written or otherwise, shall be considered or accepted after the public hearing is closed. Speakers will be permitted three minutes for comments.
