NASSAU COUNTY LEGAL NOTICE Public Notice for Grant Application for Federal Transit Administration Funds Proposed Program of Projects The Nassau County Department of Public Works hereby notifies the public of the intent to file a grant application for funds from the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) of the U.S. Department of Transportation (Sections 5307, 5339 and CMAQ), under the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. These funds will be used to procure capital items for the Nassau Inter County Express bus system. The projects have been endorsed by the Metropolitan Planning Organization for the New York metropolitan region. Detailed information and a description of the projects will be available for review online at http://www.nassaucountyny.gov/1881/Transit.html. Written comments will be accepted for 30 days from the original date of publication of this notice (2/18/2026). The comments may be sent to: Mr. Mario Angieri, Nassau County Department of Public Works - Transit Division, 1194 Prospect Avenue, Westbury, NY 11590 or by e-mail at: TransitDivision@nassaucountyny.gov.If there are no amendments to the proposed Program of Projects, this becomes the final program. A public hearing will be held if requested by the public.
