NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village of New Hartford will hold a public hearing will be held on Monday, March 9, 2026 at 7 pm concurrently with the Regular Village Board meeting at Butler Hall, 48 Genesee Street, New Hartford, NY 13413 to discuss the addition of proposed Local Law #1-2026, limiting the number of pets allowed within the Village without a permit to Village Code 54-1. Local Law #1-2026 reads: No person shall keep or house any animals or poultry other than household pets or operate a kennel of four or more dogs or cats within the limits of the Village without a permit from the Board of Trustees. Such permit shall be granted unless it should appear from the complaints of neighbors, or otherwise, that the keeping of the animals in question is objectionable or offensive by reason of noise, smell, or other cause. Such a permit shall be revocable at any time by the Board of Trustees. The public is invited to attend, send a representative or submit a written opinion. Sarah L.
