NEW YORK MILLS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION The New York Mills Union Free School District's Kindergarten registration for the 2026-27 school year will take place, February 1-28, 2026. Registration forms can be downloaded from the website www.newyorkmills.org, picked up at school between 9:00 am - 2:00 pm, or mailed to your home if you contact the elementary office. To be eligible for Kindergarten in New York Mills, a child must be five years of age by December 1, 2026 and reside in the New York Mills District. The following items are needed to complete the registration process: • Completed registration packet • Copy of driver's license of parent(s)/guardian(s) Copy of child's birth certificate • Physical and immunization record (NYS Immunization Requirements for School Entrance/Attendance attached) • Two proofs of residency (see page 5 of registration packet) Copy of Custody Agreement, if applicable All completed paperwork can be dropped off between 9:00am - 2:00pm. Kindergarten screening for all registered students will be June 2nd & 3rd, 2026. A time for screening will be scheduled after the registration and other required forms are received and approved by the elementary office. Kindergarten Orientation will be held in late August.
