TOWN OF HOPEWELL NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that a public hearing will be held by the Town of Hopewell on the 18th day of February 2026 at 7:00 p.m., at the Hopewell Town Hall, 2716 County Road 47, Town of Hopewell, New York, regarding the adoption of a Local Law of the Town of Hopewell for the year 2026, entitled “A Local Law Amending Local Law 1 of 1997, Local Law 1 of 2010 and Local Law 1 of 2025 Regarding Wartime Veterans, Combat Veterans and Disabled Veterans’ Exemptions”. This local law would increase the current maximum exemption allowable in paragraphs (a), (b), and (c) of subdivision 2 of section 458-a of the NYS Real Property Tax Law to $45,000, $75,000 and $150,000. Any person shall be entitled to be heard upon said proposed Local Law at such public hearing. Copies of said proposed Local Law are available for review at the Town of Hopewell Town Hall, 2716 County Road 47, Town of Hopewell, New York.
