VILLAGE OF WALDEN LOCAL LAW VILLAGE OF WALDEN NOTICE OF HEARING INTRODUCTORY LOCAL LAW PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that there has been introduced before the Village Board of Trustees of the Village of Walden, New York, on January 20, 2026, a local law titled “Exterior Lighting Standards” which local law would regulate lighting standards for outdoor uses that serve to create a safe and comfortable nighttime environment, while protecting the public’s ability to view the night sky. The introductory local law also contains provisions concerning the procedure for enforcement and penalties for violation of the law. A complete copy of the Introductory Local Law is available for inspection at the Village Clerk's Office. NOW, THEREFORE, pursuant to Section 20 of the Municipal Home Rule Law, the Village Board of the Village of Walden, New York, will hold a public hearing on the aforesaid Local Law on March 3, 2026, at 6:30 P.M. or soon thereafter, at the Village Hall, One Municipal Square, Walden, New York 12586, at which time all persons interested therein shall be heard. The Village of Walden will make every effort to ensure that the hearing is accessible to persons with disabilities.
