PLATTEKILL FIRE DISTRICT LEGAL NOTICE NOTICE OF PERMISSIVE REFERENDUM NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Plattekill Fire District Towns of Plattekill and Newburgh, Counties of Ulster and Orange, New York, at a meeting held on the 10 th day of _ February , 2026, duly adopted the following Resolution, subject to a permissive referendum. RESOLUTION # 1 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLATTEKILL FIRE DISTRICT (“FIRE DISTRICT”) IN THE TOWNS OF PLATTEKILL AND NEWBURGH, NEW YORK, ADOPTED FEBRUARY 10 th , 2026, AUTHORIZING THE USE OF A VEHICLE BROKER FOR THE SALE OF THREE OF THE DISTRICT’S SERVICE APPARATUS, USED IN CONNECTION THEREWITH, SUBJECT TO THE APPROVAL OF THE ELECTORS OF THE DISTRICT OF SUCH SALE, FOR A COMBINED SALE PRICE THAT DOES NOT EXCEED A TOTAL OF $100,000.00 BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Plattekill Fire District of the Towns of Plattekill and Newburgh, Counties of Ulster and Orange, State of New York, as follows: 1 That the marketing of the three vehicles, being the 2015, 2019 and 2020 TAHOE CHIEF RESPONSE VEHICLES, in an “as-is” condition, for a combined price not expected to exceed the sum of $100,000.00, which the District believes to be a fair and reasonable price for the apparatus, be approved by this Board, subject to the approval of the voters of the District. 2. That it is determined that the monies or sums to be realized from this marketing of the three apparatus shall not exceed $100,000.00. 3. Any money or sums to be realized from the sale of the described apparatus shall be paid first towards the retirement of any bond or indebtedness associated with the apparatus, if any, and with the balance, if any, into the Capital Reserve Fund, established pursuant to this resolution, thereby reducing the funds necessary to be borrowed by note or bonds for the purchase of new apparatus. 4. Pursuant to Section 6-g Subdivision 5 of the General Municipal Law, any monies received after the retirement of the debt on the apparatus, shall be paid into such Capital Reserve Fund. 5.
