TOWN OF MARLBOROUGH LEGAL NOTICE New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Notice of Complete Application Date: 02/12/2026 Applicant : LAMELA SANITATION INC 1118 RTE 9W MARLBORO, NY 12542 Facility : LAMELA SANITATION 1118 US RTE 9W MARLBORO, NY 12542 Application ID : 3-5136- 00007/00002 Permits(s) Applied for: 1 - Article 27 Title 7 Solid Waste Management Project is located: in MARLBOROUGH in ULSTER COUNTY Project Description: The applicant owns and operates a Solid Waste Transfer Station located at 1118 Route 9W in the Town of Marlborough, New York. The applicant is proposing to replace the existing ±5,800 square feet transfer station building with a new ±9,875 square feet transfer station building that will provide approximately 40% more enclosed tipping floor space and a dedicated transfer trailer loading tunnel. Facility would remain open during portions of construction. The applicant is permitted to receive and transfer up to 300 tons per day. Waste streams include residential and commercial Construction and Demolition Debris (C&D debris), non-putrescible municipal solid waste (MSW), and source separated recyclables (newsprint, glass, plastic, metal, paper and cardboard). The Facility is also designed to receive and transfer up to 1,000 pounds per month of E-waste which is authorized under a registration with the Department. No changes to the facility waste throughput are proposed with this capital improvement project. Availability of Application Documents: Filed application documents, and Department draft permits where applicable, are available for inspection during normal business hours at the address of the contact person. To ensure timely service at the time of inspection, it is recommended that an appointment be made with the contact person via email to mike.grosso@dec.ny.gov State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) Determination Project is an Unlisted Action and will not have a significant impact on the environment. A Negative Declaration is on file. A coordinated review was not performed. SEQR Lead Agency None Designated State Historic Preservation Act (SHPA) Determination The proposed activity is not subject to review in accordance with SHPA. The application type is exempt and/or the project involves the continuation of an existing operational activity. Coastal Management This project is located in a Coastal Management area and is subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.
