LEGAL NOTICE TOWN OF MOREAU NOTICE OF HEARING PUBLIC PROPOSED LOCAL LAW NO. 2 OF 2026 ESTABLISHING A MORA- TORIUM ENERGY ON BATTERY STORAGE FA- CILITIES NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Moreau Town Board will hold a Public Hear- ing on Tuesday, Febru- ary 24, 2026, beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Moreau Town Hall, 351 Reyn- olds Road, Moreau, New York 12828, concerning proposed Local Law No. 2 of 2026. The proposed Local Law would estab- lish a six-month morato- rium on any new battery energy_storage facility in the Town of Moreau. A battery energy stor- age facility is defined as one or more devices, assembled together, capable of storing ener- gy derived from solar or wind, to be stored and then released at a fu- ture time. The proposed moratorium would not apply to any storage fa- cility that has received all final approvals and permits from the Town. Copies of the proposed Local Law are on file in the Town Clerk's Office and also on the Town of Moreau website at www.townofmoreau. org.
