LIVINGSTON COUNTY NOTICE OF HEARING ON PROPOSED LOCAL LAW LEGAL NOTICE NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to the provisions of the Code of the Town of Leicester, and pursuant to New York State Town Law, that a public hearing shall be held by the Town Board of the Town of Leicester at the Town Hall, located at 132 Main Street, Leicester, NY at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, for the purpose of considering public opinion relating to the following: A local law pursuant to New York State Town Law §27 (1), which expressly authorizes the Town Board to increase salaries of elected officers and which is intended to increase the salary for the elected Town Highway Superintendent because the amount that was previously stated in the 2026 preliminary budget as previously published pursuant to New York State Town Law §108, was calculated in error. A copy of the proposed local law is available for review by the public at the office of the Town Clerk during regular Town Clerk hours and is available on the Town’s website at www.townofleicesterny.gov.
