VILLAGE OF MONTOUR FALLS NOTICE OF HEARING ON PROPOSED LOCAL LAW PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Board of Trustees of the Village of Montour Falls will hold a public hearing on Thursday, the 16th day of April, 2026 at 6:35 p.m. at the Montour Falls Village Hall, 408 W. Main St., Montour Falls, New York, for the purpose of hearing comments on the proposed Local Law No. 2 of the year 2026 entitled “A LOCAL LAW TO OVERRIDE THE TAX LEVY LIMIT FOR FISCAL YEAR 2026-2027”. This local law is intended to permit the Village Board to override the tax levy limit pursuant to General Municipal Law §3-c, and to allow the Village Board to adopt a budget for Fiscal Year 2026-2027 that requires a real property tax levy in excess of the tax levy limit as defined in General Municipal Law §3-c.
