FRANKLIN COUNTY LOCAL LAW NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING PROPOSED LL#1-2026 Increasing the Real Property Tax Exemption for Veterans and Other Qualifying Individuals Residing in the Town of Brighton. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held before the Regular Monthly Board meeting on Thursday, April 9, 2023, at 6:30pm, at the Town Hall, 12 County Road 31 (aka Jones Pond Road), Paul Smiths, NY. The proposed Local Law #1 for the Year 2026 entitled “Increasing the Real Property Tax Exemption for Veterans and Other Qualifying Individuals Residing in the Town of Brighton” is replacing Local Law #1-2005 “Increasing the Real Property Tax Exemption for Veterans and Other Qualifying Individuals Residing in the Town of Brighton” in the Town of Brighton, Franklin County, NY. At such time and place all persons interested in the subject matter thereof will be heard concerning the same. The full text of the Proposed LL#1-2026 is available to view at the Town Clerk’s Office during normal business hours (Monday and Tuesday 12PM to 5:30PM) or on the Town’s website at “townofbrighton.net”.
