SUFFOLK COUNTY LEGAL NOTICE TOWN OF SOUTHOLD NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN there has been presented to the Town Board of the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, New York, on the 26th day of February, 2026, a Local Law entitled, “A Local Law in relation to a twelve (12) month Extension of a Temporary Moratorium on the issuance of approvals and/or permits for Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) facilities” and NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that the Town Board of the Town of Southold will hold a public hearing on the aforesaid Local Law at the Peconic Community Center Auditorium, 1170 Peconic Lane, Peconic, New York, on the 21st day of April 2026 at 6:00 P.M., at which time all interested persons will be given an opportunity to be heard. The proposed Local Law entitled, “A Local Law in relation to a twelve (12) month Extension of a Temporary Moratorium on the issuance of approvals and/or permits for Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) facilities” is available in its entirety on the Town’s website: www.southoldtownny.gov or at the Town Clerk’s Office during regular business hours.
