LEGAL NOTICE NOTICE OF ANNUAL SCHOOL DISTRICT MEETING OF THE VOTERS OF THE BALDWINSVILLE CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT THE BOARD OF EDUCATION OF THE BALDWINSVILLE CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that the annual meeting of the qualified voters of said School District, Onondaga County, NY, will be held in Bus Bays 7, 8, 9 at the District Operations Building, 29 East Oneida Street, Baldwinsville, NY on May 19, 2026 from 6:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. for the purpose of voting, upon the proposed budget for the Baldwinsville Central School District as recommended by the Board of Education for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026, and upon the following propositions, which shall appear on the ballot in substantially the following form: PROPOSITION I (2026-2027 Budget) Shall the proposed budget of One Hundred Fifty-Two Million, Seven Hundred Sixty-Five Thousand, Five Hundred Twenty-Six Dollars ($152,765,526) for the Baldwinsville Central School District as recommended by the Board of Education for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026, be adopted and shall the Board of Education be authorized to levy the necessary taxes therefor? PROPOSITION II (Internal Combustion Engine Student Transport Vehicles) Shall the Board of Education of the Baldwinsville Central School District be authorized to purchase and finance fourteen (14) diesel powered student transport vehicles, including necessary furnishings, fixtures and equipment and all other costs incidental thereto, and expend a total sum not to exceed $2,870,000, which is estimated to be the total maximum cost thereof, and said amount, or so much thereof as may be necessary, shall be raised by the levy of a tax upon the taxable property of said School District and collected in annual installments as provided by Section 416 of the Education Law; and, in anticipation of such tax, obligations of said School District, in the principal amount not to exceed $2,870,000, be issued? Board of Education Member Election. The election of three board members. Three board positions are for three-year terms commencing July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2029. The seats are presently held by Luke Gasowski, Andrew Henty, and Victor Jenkins. NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that a public budget hearing will be held on Monday, May 11, 2026 at 6:00 P.M., at 2810 West Entry Road, Baldwinsville, NY 13027. NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that a copy of the statement of the amount of money which will be required for the ensuing year for school purposes may be obtained by residents of the District during the fourteen days immediately preceding the annual budget vote except Saturdays, Sundays or holidays, at the office in each school house in the District between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 3:00 P.M., and on the date of the election. NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that petitions nominating candidates for the office of Member of the Board of Education must be filed with the District Clerk no later than April 20, 2026 between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M. at the Clerk's Office. Petitions must be directed to the District Clerk, must state the name and address of the candidate and must be signed by at least 26 residents of the District, and include the residence of each signer. NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that qualified voters of the District may obtain applications for an absentee ballot or an early voting ballot from the office of the Clerk of the District. Completed applications must be received by the Clerk of the District at least seven days before the election if the absentee ballot or early voting ballot is to be mailed to the voter, or the day before the election, if the absentee ballot or early voting ballot is to be delivered personally to the voter. A listing of all persons to whom an absentee ballot or an early voting ballot is issued will be available for inspection in the office of the Clerk of the District between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. during each of the 5 days prior to the election, except Sundays, and shall also be posted at the polling place at the election. NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that military ballots may be applied for by qualified voters by requesting an application from the Clerk of the District at tturner@bville.org or (315) 638-6055. Completed applications for military ballots must be received by the Clerk no later than 5:00 p.m. on April 23, 2026. In a request for a military ballot application or ballot, the military voter may indicate their preference for receiving the application or ballot by mail, facsimile transmission or electronic mail.
