LIVINGSTON COUNTY PUBLIC NOTICE Notice is hereby given that a Public Budget Hearing will be held Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at 5:30 p.m. at Dansville Public Library, 200 Main Street, Dansville, NY, for the presentation of the proposed library budget for fiscal year July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027. Notice is also given that a copy of the proposed budget and appropriations for the ensuing fiscal year may be obtained by any qualified voter of the Dansville Central School District, at the Dansville Public Library during regular hours of operation. Further notice is given that nominating petitions for candidates for election to the Board of Trustees must be filed with the Library Director no later than 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2026. Each petition must state the name and residence of the candidate and must be signed by at least twenty-five (25) qualified voters of the school district. The following vacancy is to be filled: * One (1) five-year term (July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2031) currently held by Rhea Jean Walker (incumbent). Further notice is given that applications for absentee ballots for the vote may be obtained at the library during regular business hours. A list of all persons to whom absentee ballots have been issued will be available at the library during the five days preceding the election, except Sundays and holidays. This list will also be available at the polling place on the day of the election. Voting on the election of one trustee and the appropriation will be held on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 between the hours of 12:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at the Dansville Public Library, 200 Main St, Dansville NY.
