SCHOHARIE COUNTY LEGAL NOTICE NOTICE OF ANNUAL SCHOOL DISTRICT BUDGET VOTE, CONSIDERATION OF PROPOSITIONS, BOARD OF EDUCATION MEMBER ELECTION, AND LIBRARY BOARD OF TRUSTEES ELECTION NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the Board of Education of the Cobleskill-Richmondville Central School District that the Annual Election/Budget Vote of the qualified voters of said school district will be held at the C-R High School located at 1353 State Route 7 in Richmondville, New York, on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m., local time. NOTICE IS ALSO GIVEN that there will be a Public Hearing regarding the proposed 2026-2027 Budget and propositions held in the William H. NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that the qualified voters of the District shall be entitled to vote at the Annual Meeting. A qualified voter is one who is (1) a citizen of the United States of America, (2) eighteen years of age or older, and (3) resident within the District for a period of thirty (30) days next preceding the vote. The District may require all persons offering to vote at the Annual meeting to provide one form of proof of residency pursuant to Education Law §2018-c. Such form may include a driver’s license, a non-driver identification card, a utility bill, or a voter registration card. Upon offer of proof of residency, the District may also require all persons offering to vote to provide their signature, printed name and address. NOTICE IS ALSO GIVEN that Military voters who are qualified voters of the School District may apply for a military ballot by requesting an application from the District Clerk. For a military voter to be issued a military ballot, the District Clerk must have received a valid ballot application no later than 5:00 p.m. on April 23, 2026. In a request for a military ballot application or ballot, the military voter may indicate their preference for receiving the application or ballot by mail, facsimile transmission, or electronic mail. The School District will transmit military ballots to military voters on April 24, 2026. Completed military ballots must be received by the School District by 5:00 p.m. on May 19, 2026, in order to be counted, and facsimile transmission is not acceptable. NOTICE IS ALSO GIVEN that applications for absentee and early mail ballots may be obtained by contacting the District Clerk, CRCSD District Office, 155 Washington Ave., Cobleskill, NY 12043 or by telephoning (518) 234-4032, extension 2000, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., prevailing time, except Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. Completed applications must be received by the District Clerk at least seven days before the Annual Meeting and Vote, if the ballot is to be mailed to the voter, or on the day before the Annual Meeting and Vote, if the ballot is to be issued to the voter in person. The list of all persons to whom absentee ballots and early mail ballots shall have been issued will be available for inspection in the office of the District Clerk, on each of the five (5) business days preceding the vote on May 19, 2026 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., prevailing time, until the day set for voting, except for Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
