GREENE COUNTY PUBLIC NOTICE VILLAGE OF ATHENS NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF A RESOLUTION SUBJECT TO PERMISSIVE REFERENDUM, PROPOSING TO TRANSFER FUNDS FROM THE EXISTING SPECIAL EXPENSE FUND NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village Board of the Village of Athens, Greene County, New York at a Regular Meeting thereof held on the 8th day of April 2026 duly adopted a resolution subject to permissive referendum, the purpose and effect of which is to cause the Village to transfer funds from the existing Special Expense Fund in the approximate amount of $39,333.41 (thirty nine thousand three hundred thirty three dollars and forty one cents). RESOLVED that the foregoing resolution was adopted subject to a permissive referendum. PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that the foregoing resolution shall become effective without action of the Village Board on the 8th day of May in the year 2026 unless a petition requesting that a Referendum thereon be submitted to the voters in the manner required by law.
