SHAWANGUNK FIRE DISTRICT LEGAL NOTICE RESOLUTION TO DISPOSE OF SURPLUS REAL PROPERTY WHEREAS, pursuant to Town Law, the Shawangunk Valley Fire District, Towns of Shawangunk and Gardiner, State of New York should the board of fire commissioners declare that real property owned by the Fire District is no longer necessary for the purposes of the Shawangunk Valley Fire District, the Shawangunk Valley Fire District is authorized to dispose and sell said property of the Fire District subject to determination of value and the appropriate resolution subject, when applicable a permissive or mandatory referendum; and THEREFORE, BE IT RESOVED: the Shawangunk Valley Fire District, Towns of Shawangunk and Gardiner, State of New York by its board of fire commissioners does hereby declare that the real property owned by the Fire District located at 2150 Bruynswick Rd Wallkill, NY 12589, is no longer necessary for the purposes of the Shawangunk Valley Fire District Resolved: be it by Resolution that the Shawangunk Valley Board of Fire Commissioners will sell the 1994 International VIN # 1HTSEN2N3RH548107. This vehicle is no longer necessary for any of its uses or purposes for the Shawangunk Valley Fire District and has an approximate value of $30,001.00 by appraisal. RESOLVED: Within 10 days after the adoption of this resolution by the Board of Fire Commissioners, the District Secretary/ Treasurer shall, publish a notice which shall set forth the date of the adoption of this Resolution and contain a copy of this Resolution, stating the purpose and effect thereof. Such notice shall specify that such Resolution was adopted subject to a permissive referendum, and is further RESOLVED: This Resolution shall take effect immediately, unless a referendum is requested, in which event it shall take effect, if approved at such referendum, upon such approval, and it is further RESOLVED: That the Fire District shall advertise this Resolution as subject to permissive referendum in accordance with the laws of the State of New York including posting on the official websites of the Towns of Gardiner and Shawangunk, Ulster County, New York. The undersigned, Kathy Miller, certifies that she is the duly appointed Secretary of the Shawangunk Valley Fire District, and that the above is a true and correct copy of the Resolution that was duly adopted at a meeting of the Board of Fire Commissioners, which was held in accordance with State law.
