COLUMBIA COUNTY PUBLIC NOTICE Town of Hillsdale Court Clerk The Hillsdale Town Court is seeking a detail-oriented Traffic, Criminal and Civil Court Clerk. The Court Clerk plays a crucial role in supporting court proceedings and ensuring the efficient operation of the Hillsdale Town Court. Strong communication and organizational skills are a must, as well as the ability to work collaboratively as well as independently. Routine tasks include: Answering email and telephone inquiries courteously and confidentially. Processing traffic tickets, fine payments, printing receipts, lifting suspensions. Maintaining and updating the court databases for traffic, civil and criminal cases. Processing mail for court appearances, adjournments and other correspondence. Preparing court night case schedules twice per month, first and third Wednesdays. Reporting and filing monthly case dispositions reports. Communicating with the District Attorney, Public Defender and other legal counsel. Must be available to attend the evening court sessions. Approximately 6-8 hours per week at $25.00 per hour.
