Legal Notices North Lake Fire District History: On September 3rd, 2024, the Dewittville, Hartfield and Mayville Fire Departments merged into a single fire district. The new fire district is known as the North Lake Fire District. The District Board of Commissioners is the governing body for the newly formed district. The purpose of the merger, in part, was to bring together these three separate departments into a single cohesive unit. Our goal is to construct a single fire station within the district and conduct our business from a single structure. Purpose: The North Lake Fire District is requesting proposals for a study that will give us guidance and direction in the location of a fire station that will align itself with efficient service to the residents of the district. Factors to be considered would be calls for service within the district, distance from the fire station to the furthest points within the district and response times for members to arrive at the station to respond to a call. Any agency that is qualified to conduct such a study is requested to respond in writing to the North Lake Fire District, P.O. Box 136 Mayville NY 14757 by April 30, 2026.
