GENESEE COUNTY NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING CITY OF BATAVIA NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING PLEASE TAKE NOTE THAT A HEARING will be held before the City of Batavia Zoning Board of Appeals in the Board Room at One Batavia City Centre on Thursday, April 23, 2026 at 6:00 pm to review the following: 1. 114 North Street, Martin MacDonald, applicant – Area Variance to expand an existing driveway and an existing parking space. 2. 5 Madison Avenue, Matthew Renz, applicant – Area Variance to alter the lot size following a minor subdivision to create a code compliant 80’ x 151.75’ buildable residential lot with frontage on Orleans Avenue. 3. 244-248 West Main Street, Andrew Terragnoli, PE, applicant – Special Use Permit to allow the use of “Automobile Service Station.” This project will include installation of six fuel pumps, pump island canopy, interior and exterior renovations of an existing 4,003 sq.’ existing masonry building to convenience store, utilization of an existing 2,497 sq.’ wood-frame building for accessory use to the service station/store, dumpster enclosure, landscaping and updated off-street parking. Multiple variances from the special use permit standards will be required.
