Legal Notices Notice of Annual Meeting Budget Vote and Election Clymer Central School District County of Chautauqua NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a Public Hearing of the qualified voters of Clymer Central School District, Chautauqua County, New York (the “District”), will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. for the presentation of the proposed 2026-2027 Budget in the Helm located at 8672 East Main Street, Clymer, New York. FURTHER NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Annual District Meeting and Election (the “Annual Election”) will be held in the Student Performance Center lobby at 8672 East Main Street, Clymer, New York, on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, between the hours of 12:00 p.m. (noon) and 8:00 p.m. for the purposes of (a) voting on the District’s budget for the 2026-2027 fiscal year, (b) electing two member of the Board of Education of the District (the “Board”), and transacting such other business as may be authorized by law. FURTHER NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the voting will consist of voting on the following propositions as well as other such matters as may be lawfully presented at the meeting: PROPOSITION NO. 1 PROPOSED 2026-2027 BUDGET Shall the following resolution be adopted? RESOLVED , that the annual budget of the Clymer Central School District, Chautauqua County, New York (the “District”) for the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2026 and ending June 30, 2027, as presented by the Board of Education, is hereby approved and adopted and the required funds therefore are hereby appropriated and the necessary real property taxes shall be raised by taxation on the taxable property of the District to be levied and collected as required by law. FURTHER NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a copy of the proposed 2026-2027 budget may be obtained, upon request, by any resident of the District during normal business hours (8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.) on any weekday, beginning May 1, 2026, except on holidays, in the Office of the District Clerk. FURTHER NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that an election of members of the Board will be held to fill one (1) position on the Board, resulting from the expiration on May 19, 2026, of the term of Mitchel Einink. The candidate receiving the highest vote total for this seat shall be elected to a term commencing May 20, 2026 and expiring on June 30, 2030. and (1) position of the Board, resulting from the expiration on June 30, 2026, of the term of Ed Mulkearn. The candidate receiving the highest vote total for this seat shall be elected to a five-year term commencing July 1, 2026 and expiring on June 30, 2031. FURTHER NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that all candidates for the office of member of the Board shall be nominated by petition. Each petition shall be filed in the Office of the District Clerk during regular business hours, but not later than 5:00 p.m. on April 20, 2026. Each petition shall be signed by at least twenty-five (25) qualified voters of the District, state the residence of each signer, and shall state the name and residence of the candidate. FURTHER NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that applications for absentee and early mail ballots may be obtained between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, except holidays, on or after April 8, 2026. Completed absentee and early mail ballot applications must be received by the District Clerk at least seven (7) days prior to the day of the Annual Election, if the ballot is to be mailed to the voter, or the day before the Annual Election, if the ballot is to be personally delivered to the voter. Absentee and early mail ballots must be received in the Office of the District Clerk not later than 5:00 p.m. on the day of the election (May 19, 2026). A list of all persons to whom absentee and early mail ballots have been issued will be available for inspection by any qualified voter of the District in the District Clerk’s office during business hours on each of the five (5) days prior to the Annual Election (except Saturday, Sunday and holidays). In addition, said list will be posted at the polling place of the Annual Election. FURTHER NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that applications for military voter ballots may be obtained at the Office of the District Clerk. Applications for military voter ballots must be received by the District Clerk by 5:00 p.m. on April 23, 2026. Eligible military voters may designate their preference for receiving their application by mail, facsimile transmission, or electronic mail. If no designation is indicated, the military voter application and ballot will be transmitted by mail. A list of all persons to whom military voter ballots shall have been issued will be available for inspection in the Office of the District Clerk on each of the five (5) days prior to the day of the Annual Election (except Saturday and Sunday), and such list shall also be posted at the polling place of the Annual Election.
