Public hearing for a vacant commercial building registry on April 22, 2026.

TOWN OF TUXEDO NOTICE OF HEARING ESTABLISHING A VACANT COMMERCIAL BUILDING REGISTRY PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that there has been introduced before the Town Board of the Town of Tuxedo, New York, on February 25, 2026, a local law titled “Establishing a Vacant Commercial Building Registry” which local law would establish a program for identifying and registering vacant buildings; to set forth and determine the responsibilities of owners of vacant buildings and structures; and to speed the rehabilitation of vacant properties. The introductory local law also contains provisions concerning the procedure for enforcement and penalties for violation of the law. A complete copy of the Introductory Local Law is available for inspection at the Town Clerk's Office. NOW, THEREFORE, pur-suant to Section 20 of the Municipal Home Rule Law, the Town Board of the Town of Tuxedo, New York, will hold a public hearing on the aforesaid Local Law on April 22, 2026, at 7:00 P.M. or soon thereafter, at the Town Hall, 1 Temple Drive, Tuxedo, New York 10987, at which time all persons interested therein shall be heard. The Town of Tuxedo will make every effort to ensure that the hearing is accessible to persons with disabilities.
