NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS VILLAGE OF WHITESBORO ONEIDA COUNTY, NEW YORK PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Zoning Board of Appeals will conduct a public hearing on May 4, 2026, upon an application received from Stewart’s Shops Corp. for the matter of a setback variance request and a request for a special exception to construct a 4,500 square foot store and an 1,800 square foot gasoline canopy on the lots at the corner of Clinton and Powell Streets, at the site of the former Rite-Aid building. The applicant has filed an application for a setback variance to allow a 13-foot setback from the rear of the building facing Powell Avenue, where zoning regulations require a 25-foot setback. The site plan with the construction of the store and a separate gas canopy make the setback requirement unachievable. A special exception is requested for a fueling station, which is an allowed use in the C-2 Zone. The application is on file and available for inspection at the Village Clerk’s Office, located at 10 Moseley Street during normal office hours. Any person wishing to appear at the hearing may do so in person or by other representation. Communications in writing or in relation thereto may be filed with the Clerk’s Office in advance or at such public hearing. By Order of the Zoning Board of Appeals Dated: April 6, 2026
