ADVERTISEMENT – INVITATION TO BID The Town of Trenton will receive sealed bids for the construction of the Highway Department Equipment Storage Building and the electrical work in the building located at 225 Veterans Way Barneveld, NY 13304 in the Town of Trenton. Bids will be opened by the Town of Trenton at the Municipal Building at 7:00 PM on May 13th, 2026. Bids will be received by the Town Clerk at the Trenton Municipal Building during normal business hours. The plans and specifications may be examined at the Town Clerk's office during regular office hours: Monday – Thursday between 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM and Friday’s between 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM. Copies of these bid documents may be obtained from the Town Engineer’s office (Boulder Consultants, 4 Oxford Crossing, Suite 102 New Hartford, New York 13413) upon payment of a refundable deposit fee of $100.00 for each set of documents. This deposit shall be refunded for each set of documents returned in good condition within two weeks of the bid opening date specified above. For non-bidders the refund will be equal to one-half of the deposit. All checks shall be made payable to “ Town Clerk, Town of Trenton ”. The Town of Trenton reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any bids. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or a bid bond from a domestic carrier licensed to do business in the State of New York. Bid Bond or certified check shall be in an amount not less than 5% of the amount of the bid as submitted. No bidder may withdraw the bid within 45 days after the bid opening date specified above. Envelopes containing the bids shall be sealed and addressed to: Town of Trenton, Town Clerk PO Box 206 Barneveld, NY 13304-0206, 315-896-2664 and clearly marked as “BID PROPOSAL – HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT EQUIPMENT STORAGE BUILDING CONSTRUCTION”. Bids must be submitted on the forms contained in the specification booklet with all blanks filled in and no changes made to the phraseology or units specified therein. The attention of the bidders is specifically drawn to the requirements to be observed regarding the conditions of employment and minimum wage rates to be paid for municipal work.
