WAYNE COUNTY ADVERTISEMENT FOR BID NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the County of Wayne will receive sealed bids for: Wayne County - Historic Courthouse Alterations & Renovations Project, Contract B - Plumbing Construction Contract and Contract D - Electrical Construction Contract at 26 Church Street, Lyons, New York 14489. Project Summary: The Wayne County historic courthouse building is a two-story masonry structure (with basement), with brick clad masonry walls. The addition is a steel framed brick masonry clad building added to the historic structure. The interior historic entrance corridor, stairway, and second floor landing will be restored with best practices for historic preservation of the existing historic wood wainscoting, interior ornamental doorways, plaster ceilings and stone floor finishes. Additionally, the non historic building area of the building will be updated with new bathrooms and adjacent floor finishes. Other minor work in work areas include providing room identification, signage, lighting, and a repair to the historic building limestone threshold. The building is to remain occupied during construction, this will require coordination during construction for the abatement of hazardous materials, as well as during portions of construction such as wood refinishing, which will impact areas of the building outside of the scope of construction. Notice: This advertisement is for rebid of Contract B - Plumbing Construction and Contract D - Electrical Construction only. The General Construction Contract and Mechanical Construction Contract are currently in the process of being awarded; and, construction activities under those contracts have not yet commenced. Work under these Contracts shall be coordinated with those Prime Contractors as required by the Contract Documents. Construction activities under previously awarded contracts are anticipated to commence concurrently with this Work. Bid Date: Sealed bids for the Plumbing Construction Contract and Electrical Construction Contract shall be clearly identified and filed with the Clerk of the Wayne County Board of Supervisors at 26 Church Street, Lyons, New York 14489, on or before 2:00 p.m., prevailing local time, Friday, March 27, 2026, at which time bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Award and Proceed Dates: Bids will be awarded on Tuesday, April 21st, 2026, with notice to proceed on Tuesday, May 5th, 2026 Prebid Meeting: There will be a pre-bid meeting including a "Bidders Tour" of the project site to review the project. The "Pre-bid Meeting" will be held on Thursday, March 12th, 2026 at 8:00 am, local time. Bidders shall meet in the main historic entry, just inside the main entrance of the Wayne County Historic Courthouse Building located at 26 Church Street. A walk-through of the construction site will immediately follow. All interested bidders are encouraged to attend this meeting. Questions and Requests for Information: ALL PRE-BID REQUEST FOR INFORMATION and questions must be received in writing no later than 2:00 pm Wednesday, March 18th, 2026. All questions and requests will be formally responded to via addendum and issued to all registered plan holders. Only registered plan holders will receive copies of addenda. Bid Documents: Electronic and Printed Procurement and Contracting Documents: Documents may be obtained on or after 10:00 a.m. local time on Monday, March 2nd, 2026, by contacting Dataflow, Inc. Obtaining documents from Dataflow is the only way to become a registered plan holder. Once registered, only complete sets of documents will be issued. Only registered plan holders will receive copies of Addenda issued during bidding. Once registered as a plan holder, Dataflow will provide access to the plan room where bid documents can be viewed. Shipping: Additional shipping charges may apply for any delivery requests. 4. Additional copies of bid documents are available to registered plan holders on a nonrefundable, cash and carry basis through Dataflow, Inc. Bidders are responsible for payment of additional copies requested. 5. Electronic bid documents in .PDF format are available to registered plan holders through Dataflow, Inc. at no additional cost. Dataflow will email plan holders a link to their FTP hosting site for downloading the files. 6. NOTICE: The County of Wayne shall not be held responsible for the completeness or accuracy of any bid documents received by a vendor that were not directly issued to that vendor by Dataflow Document Management. Any vendor submitting a bid based on incomplete or inaccurate information resulting from documentation received from any third party, shall not have cause for relief from award or completion of a contract in accordance with the official documents on file with Dataflow. It is HIGHLY suggested that all vendors interested in participating in this bid, contact Dataflow directly at the address or telephone number listed in the advertisement of bid to assure they have received the most accurate and up to date material concerning this contract.
