ROXBURY CENTRAL SCHOOL BID NOTICE SECTION 00 1116 NOTICE TO BIDDERS The Roxbury Central School District, hereinafter referred to as the "Owner", will be accepting sealed bids to furnish labor and materials for the following contract: Contract Mechanical Construction Sealed bids shall be received for the Roxbury Central School District, Roxbury Central School - Reconstruction, SED #12-15-02-04-0-001-026 located at 53729 State Highway 30, Roxbury, New York, 12474; Work involves, but is not limited to Installation of building control systems on existing building hot water loop. Successful bidder for the contract noted above will be entering into separate prime contracts. Sealed bids for this contract will be received until 10:00 AM on Thursday, April 9 , 2026 prevailing time. Shortly thereafter, bids will be opened and read aloud. Bids are to be delivered to Stacy Ward, Superintendent, Roxbury Central School District, 53729 State Highway 30, Roxbury, New York, 12474; Phone: 607.326.4151. Bidding Requirements and Contract Documents are available to the Contractor by contacting the Architect directly: James E. Graham, Architect. jgraham@synthesisllp.com 518-370-1576 Chris Capozzola, Architectural Designer. ccapozzola@synthesisllp.com 518-370-1576 PROCEDURAL REQUIREMENTS: Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond payable to the Roxbury Central School District, in accordance with the instructions to bidders, for a sum equal to 5% of the base bid amount. A bidder may submit a certified check in lieu of a bid bond. A performance bond and payment bond will be required of the successful bidder, each bond for the full amount of the contract price in accordance with the contract documents. If a bidder fails to execute the agreement in the contract documents or to furnish the required performance bond and payment bond within fifteen (15) days from the date on which they are notified that their bid has been accepted, their check or bid bond and the amount thereof shall be forfeited to the Owner Roxbury Central School District No bid will be considered unless received at the specified time, date, and address, in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Any bid may be withdrawn without prejudice prior to the official bid opening time or any publicized postponement thereof. Any bid received after the time and date stated above will be returned to the bidder unopened. Bidders may not withdraw their bids for 45 days after the bid opening. Successful bidders will be required to comply with state prevailing wage requirements of section 220 of New York State Labor Law. The Owner is a New York State Governmental entity and is exempt from payment of Federal Excise Tax, Sales, and Compensating Use Taxes of the State of New York and of cities, counties, and other subdivisions of the State. No sales tax is to be paid on labor and materials incorporated in the work. The construction site shall be maintained during the entire construction period as drug-free, alcohol-free, tobacco-free, and weapon-free. Bidders are hereby advised that compliance with “Regulations of the Commissioner of Education, Part 155” will be required. Verbal questions will not be entertained. Bids will be evaluated in general conformance with the criteria presented in the Instructions to Bidders section of the Contract Documents. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive irregularities in any and all Bids, and to accept any Bid which it deems to be in its best interest. The right is reserved by the Owner to revise or amend the contract documents prior to the date set for the opening of bids. Such revisions or amendments will be announced to the prospective bidders by addenda to the contract documents. Receipt of addenda, if issued, shall be acknowledged on the bid form.
