NOTICE OF COMPLETION OF TENTATIVE ASSESSMENT ROLL FOR THE YEAR 2026 (Pursuant to Section 506 & 526(1) - Real Property Tax Law Notice is hereby given that the Assessor for the Town of Norway, County of Herkimer, State of New York has completed the Tentative Assessment Roll for 2026 and has been filed with the Town of Norway Clerk and is available during her regular office hours. The Tentative Assessment Roll is available until Wednesday, May 27, 2026. The Assessor, or someone designated by the Assessor, will be in attendance with the Town of Norway 2026 Tentative Assessment Roll the following dates and times: Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 1pm - 5pm; Friday, May 8, 2026, from 1pm- 5pm; Monday, May 11, 2026, from 4pm - 8pm; and Monday, May 18, 2026, from 1pm - 5pm. Notice is also given that the Town of Norway Board of Assessment Review will meet on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, during the hours of 4pm and 8pm, for the purpose of hearing and examining all complaints relative to assessments. A publication titled “How to File a Complaint on Your Assessment” and complaint forms are available from the Assessor or online at www.tax.ny.gov. Complaint forms can be filed through the meeting of the Board of Assessment Review, but any complaints filed less than three (3) business days prior to their meeting may be subject to an adjournment, as allowed by law, upon request by the Assessor.
