State of North CarolinaAlexander CountyIn the General Court of JusticeDistrict Court Division26 JT 000009-010NOTICE OF PETITION TO TERMINATE PARENTAL RIGHTSIn the Matter of: Baby Girl Thomas, Minor Child.To John Doe/Unknown Father, Putative Respondent Fathers, of the minor child Baby Girl Thomas, a female juvenile born September 2, 2025, in Iredell County, North Carolina:PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that a Petition to terminate your parental rights has been filed in Alexander County on March 30, 2026. You are directed to file an answer to said Petition within forty (40) days after the date stated below. Upon your failure to answer or otherwise respond to this Notice, a hearing will be conducted in Alexander County District Court where your parental will be subject to being terminated.Any counsel previously appointed to represent you will continue to represent you, unless they have been allowed to withdraw. If you are indigent or otherwise without counsel you, as a parent, are entitled to the services of court appointed legal counsel and you should contact the Alexander County Clerk of Court to request such counsel.Furthermore, notice of the date, time and place of any pre-trial hearing as well as the date, time, and place of the hearing on the petition to terminate rights will be mailed by the petitioner upon the filing of an answer.
